Bainbridge Island School District

The PTOs represent the parents and guardians of students in the Bainbridge Island School District (BISD). Find more information about our school district at the link below:

The community elects School Board Members to help guide the direction of the BISD. Per the Governance page of the BISD website:

The school board provides leadership and strategic direction regarding policies and procedures that support the educational programs of the Bainbridge Island School District. Regular school board meetings are held on most second and last Thursdays of the month at 5:45 p.m. They occur in person in the BISD board room and are broadcast live/recorded via Zoom.

BISD Enrollment Forms

The BISD needs to know your emergency contacts for both the “everyday” emergency and for the wide-spread emergency / disaster. Click the image below for an explanation on how/where to fill out the two types of contacts.

Emergency Preparedness

Bainbridge Island is a remarkable and resilient community. Living on an island provides a unique community, as well as the possibility of severe disruptions during an environmental disaster. Part of being resilient is to be prepared for potential disruptions, especially emergency situations.

We don’t know when a disaster may occur, but we do know that we can be prepared for it. Click the link below to learn more about how BISD, the PTOs, and the community are building resilience to environmental emergencies. On the Emergency Preparedness page, you can find more information and resources about the BISD policies and procedures; why it’s important to fill out the “Top Ten” list in the annual ABC process; and more on local preparedness efforts.
