Our Ordway community is great at coming together to support our school, staff and students. With your support, the Ordway PTO funds school-wide and individual classroom needs. Your contributions support assemblies, field trips, teacher appreciation, classroom grants for materials and supplies, and much more!
Why It Matters
Ordway needs our support! Your Ordway PTO raises funds and delivers programming to close the gap between funding from the BISD budget and Ordway teacher and student needs.
Teachers need our support! Teachers use Ordway PTO funds for classroom materials, curriculum, and online teaching support tools. We also set aside funds to appreciate our amazing educators throughout the year.
Students need our support! Your student directly benefits from Ordway PTO-FUNded activities, field trips, assemblies, and community events.
Our annual fundraising campaign is essential, supporting all students, teachers, classrooms, and school-wide initiatives. The fundraising campaign will run through September and will be followed by our first post-pandemic Otter Trot jog-a-Thon on October 25th. Look for more info about the Jog-a-Thon in your inbox prior to October 1st. Students will be pre-registered but additional action will be needed from parents and guardians to support their Otters!
Students raise money, setting a personal movement goal, while showing pride for Ordway. The move-a-thon is adaptive with options for all kinds of participation. The top classes will earn Otterly fun prizes like a Pizza party. Top individuals will be entered for a raffle to be Principal for a day.
Our fundraising Platform, RallyUp, allows for digital and “old school” cash/check donations (digital preferred).

The PTO Funds are used to enrich, support, and appreciate the Ordway students, teachers, and staff. These include, among others, the following:
- School Assemblies, Author visits, and more
- After school Enrichment Programs
- School beautification and our fabulous School Garden
- Popcorn days, Questions of the Day (with prizes)
- Science and Maker’s Fair (yearly), Student Art Showcase (every-other year)
- Scholarships for Otterwear (Spirit Wear), Field trips, Yearbooks, and more
- PTO-sponsored Events, such as Carnival, Boo Bash!, and Bingo (for Ordway families & teacher/staff families)
- World Otter Day – OtterPops and Otter Love!
- 4th Grade Outdoor Education Experience
- Teacher and Staff appreciation
- Communication, administrative, etc.

You may also donate via check made out to Ordway PTO, mailed to school or dropped off to the main office.
- A $15 donation will provide a free yearbook for one child
- A $25 donation helps to cover scholarship costs of school supplies, spirit wear, and more!
- A $25 donation supports teacher grants for subscriptions, classroom materials & decor, stickers, wobble stools, etc.
- A $50 donation for Carnival activities, games, prizes, and surprises.
- A $200 donation will send one 4th grader to Outdoor Education in June.
