Volunteer On the PTO Board
Volunteer to lead, or co-lead one of the PTO Board positions. We also welcome apprentices who are interested in learning more. Click on our About Us page to see position descriptions.

We are so happy you are interested in volunteering at Ordway Elementary. Your involvement matters! Your time, energy, and talent are vital to the success of our students and school, and we are grateful for your service to our community.
We understand and appreciate how little extra time parents have each day. We have many volunteer opportunities that can be done from home and require short time commitments that are impactful and appreciated.
Please contact the PTO to sign up (see form below), check out the activities below, and watch for opportunities in the weekly PTO newsletter.
Complete your BISD Application online. (Remember, your clearance needs to be renewed every two years.) We recommend doing this ASAP so you will be ready to help with upcoming activities. The application itself takes less than an hour to complete, but the approval process may take 1-2 weeks.
To apply for volunteer approval with the school district, click HERE. If you are unsure when your volunteer clearance has expired, you can contact the Ordway office for assistance – email Sarah Dunstan at sdunstan@bisd303.org.

- Carnival (Jan thru June: Planning, June: Day-of help)
- Field Day (Last day of school)
- Lost & Found Clean-Out & Donation (Before each school break)
- Art Room Volunteer (Ongoing – Hanging art in hallways, assisting teacher, prep work)
- Display Cases in Hallways (Ongoing – Can be done on your own time w/ your own ideas)
- Gardening (Ongoing – Light weeding, seasonal harvesting)
- Website (Ongoing – Basic tech skills to upload and update info on website)
- Parking Lot Safety (Ongoing – Help direct parking lot traffic for 20 min during dropoff and pickup
- Yearbook (Ongoing – Help with taking photos at events, gathering photos, design)
