Ordway’s Carnival is an exciting annual event where families gather for fun games, good food, and great community.

Volunteer Opportunities
We have many volunteer opportunities that you can partake in to help make the Carnival great. All parent/staff volunteers WILL RECEIVE A FREE wristband
- We are looking for about 55 Parent & Staff Volunteers.
- Work at the table to pre-sale wristbands/bracelets after school on May 8-9
- Set up of carnival tables, games, etc.
- Work at the food & prize tables
- Clean up

Alejandro is returning to set up some fun soccer games.

There will be some of the classic games, like Spill the Milk and Tic Tac Toss. We also have new games! Playing the carnival games will win you tickets, which can be turned in for prizes.
We also have the bouncy house, bouncy obstacle course and slide.
If you need a break from games, we will have Face Painting and the Balloon Guys!
For some if these activities, you must have a Carnival wristband / bracelet with the appropriate tag still available. Continue reading, below, to learn more about the wristbands and what they offer the wearer.
Wristbands will be delivered to Ordway students near the end of the school day on Friday, May 10th. Teachers will place the wristband onto the student’s wrist.

You can also purchase wristbands for $10 on Wednesday, May 8th, and Thursday, May 9th. There will be volunteers selling them at school pickup. Wristbands will also be on sale at Carnival.

Yes! This year, we will be having a Cake Walk at Carnival. It’s a bit like Musical Chairs with cake as the prize. Don’t worry, you won’t be sitting on the cakes. The prizes (cake, pie, or set of cupcakes) will be off to the side and the players will be walking around a set of numbered chairs (or other numbered item). When the music stops, you may be the lucky winner to choose a cake, pie, or set of cupcakes. Yum!
All participants who don’t win a cake/pie/cupcake prize can get game tickets good for use toward prizes.
Where do we get the cakes & pies? I’m glad you asked. We are seeking donations of your yummiest creation. Click the link below, to donate a homemade or purchased cake, pie, or dozen cupcakes.

We wouldn’t ask growing teenagers to volunteer without providing them with food and drink. We will be providing them with pizza. We are seeking donations of drinks, chips, and cookies. Click the link below to donate.

We are looking for donations of small, individual sized candies and candy bars. These will be used for prizes at Carnival. Please drop off your donation at the Office. Donated candy should be nut free.
Carnival Wristbands / Bracelets - Giving you some of the goodies
Carnival has a variety of activities, food items, and games. Some of the items are only available to you if you still have the appropriate tag on your wristband. Other items are available to all attendees at Carnival. The infographic and details PDF document on this website should give you the details you need.
Each Ordway student will receive a free wristband/bracelet on Friday, May 10th, from their teacher. They will be delivered to the classrooms.
Additional wristbands/bracelets will be available via pre-sale on Wednesday and Thursday before the carnival for $10 each. You can also buy them at the door.
None of the items on the wristband/bracelet will be available a-la-cart. If you want a second face painting or slice of pizza, then you must have a wristband/bracelet with a tag for that item available.
Each Bracelet gets you:
- 1 Pizza Slice
- 1 Cotton Candy
- 1 Popcorn
- 1 Face Painting
- 1 Prize from the 50+ ticket table (you must have the tickets from games in addition to the prize tag from your wristband/bracelet)

Food and Drink
There will be several food and drink options for you.
Each wristband/bracelet will have a tab good for 1 free slice of pizza. Pizza will not be available for sale, otherwise.
There will be food trucks on sight, selling a variety of food and beverages.
You can bring your own dinner.
